Before you arrive

A few things worth knowing so your first session feels easy, not stressful.

Getting here

Each of our studios is reachable by public transport. Specific directions are in your booking confirmation — check those rather than relying on maps apps, which don't always find the right entrance.

Arriving on time

Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before the class starts. The opening of each session covers foundational techniques that everything else builds on — it's hard to catch up if you've missed that part, and it's disruptive to others if people are still getting settled once things are underway. If you're more than 30 minutes late, we may not be able to admit you. If you know you're running behind, please let us know.

What to bring

An apron — this is the one thing you do need. Clay gets on everything, and synthetic materials are preferable to natural ones as they trap less clay dust. Bring shoes you don't mind getting earthy if you're coming from work. A small towel for drying your hands, and a pen and paper are useful — there's a lot to absorb in the early sessions. Tools can be purchased as an add-on when you book. Clay, glazes, and equipment are all provided.

Missing a session

If you need to miss a session, let your instructor know in advance. Missing one is manageable — your instructor will help you catch up. Missing the first two sessions is harder to recover from, since that's when the foundational work happens. Classes run at full capacity, so we're not usually able to move you into another slot.

Cancellations and refunds

If you need to cancel before your course begins, please get in touch as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy and any applicable refund terms will be outlined in your booking confirmation — do read those before you contact us, as they'll answer most questions. We'll always do our best to find a fair resolution.
