Both give you the same studio access. The difference is when you pay and how easily you can stop.

Committing to a longer period is how we're able to charge you less. That's the whole trade, and it's why leaving early costs something.

Email us at least one month before your billing date. Your membership then ends on your next billing date after that month has passed.
If you're still inside your minimum commitment, there's an early termination fee. How it's worked out is below.
Your membership expires on its end date and there's nothing you need to do. If you'd like to carry on, tell us about a month before.
Leave it later than that and we may already have offered your place to someone else. Once it's gone we can't always get it back.

Your billing date is the 15th of the month and you'd like to leave on 15 September. Email us before 15 August.
The early termination fee and the suspension deposit are calculated the same way, so this covers both. It's the difference between what you've paid and what you would have paid on the closest shorter contract.

You're on a 12-month minimum commitment and you want to leave after 8 months. We compare what you paid for those 8 months against what 8 months would have cost on a 6-month contract. The difference is the fee.
The longer you stay, the smaller it gets. Complete your minimum commitment and there's nothing to pay at all.
A suspension deposit isn't a charge. It comes back to you as a discount on your first bill when you restart.
Going travelling, having a baby, or just need the money elsewhere for a while? You can suspend your membership rather than cancel it.

Clear your shelf first
Take your pots, tools and belongings home before your suspension starts. We can't store them, and anything left behind gets cleared. If your shelf isn't clear, the suspension doesn't start.
Billing carries on until it begins
If your suspension starts mid-cycle, the remaining days carry over, as long as you're back within six months.
Come back within six months
After that the membership ends and any fees or deposits are forfeited.
Still inside your minimum commitment?
There's a suspension deposit, worked out the same way as the early termination fee, and returned as a discount when you restart.
On an upfront contract with under a month left?
We'll ask you to renew before you come back rather than suspend.

Yes, please email us and we'll work out the difference and move you across at your next billing date.

No, on either contract. Memberships are tied to the person who bought them.

A failed payment doesn't end your contract, so the balance keeps building and you'll still owe any early termination fee. If you want to leave, email us.

No. The clock pauses rather than resets, and any part-month you'd already paid for carries over, provided you're back within six months.
