Classes

Our mixed classes cover a range of making techniques including handbuilding and throwing on the wheel. We also offer specialised wheel-throwing classes - and, especially for our crowdfunders - we are also running special courses in making bowls with plaster formers, making planters, and tile making..

Each course is taught by an experienced Turning Earth artist. Each class has only 12 students to a teacher so you can expect plenty of individual attention. Courses are open to are open to anyone aged 16 or older.  Tuition fees are £375 for a 12-week standard class or £250 for an 8-week class. These take place weekly and each session is 3 hours long. We also do week-long and weekend long immersive courses, with full days of making for those that want to jump in feet first (or perhaps find it more complicated to commit to a weekly slot.

When your work is ready to be fired, there’ll be a charge of £5 per kg for materials and fuel.

Courses are non-refundable once in progress or when the course is sold out.

Cancelling course bookings
Course fees are non-refundable once the course you are enrolled into is sold out or when it has already started. It is important that you are sure that you can attend the complete course before you can book your place. If you are no longer able to attend your course, please do let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to help. Note that we will only be able to issue a refund if we can find another person to take over your place on the course.

Missing lessons
Our courses are structured in weekly progressing steps, so it is imperative that you are sure that you can attend all course dates before you book a course. It is not possible to reschedule a missed lesson to another date - we do not have spare places on any of our courses.

This same policy applies to lessons missed due to illness or self isolating.
