£495 In this course at the Turning Earth Leyton studio Learning Hub, students will learn everything you'd get in our 12-week course - plus some extras - in a single week. Book course 4-day Summer camp YOUNG PEOPLE (11+) 30/07 - 2/08 Location: Highgate N6 All Levels
£120 An opportunity for school-aged children (11+) for a learning and fun activity with clay, where creative expression will be encouraged! This 4-day course will teach age-old methods of creating ceramic objects, like slabbing, pinching, coiling and slip-decoration. Participants will be supported to use these methods to carry out individual projects from start to finish (excluding glazing, which will be done by us). They will also be able to have a go on the pottery wheel but please note this won't be the focus of the course. The group will have a maximum of 8 participants so you can expect for them to receive plenty of support from our experienced teacher. Please note - this workshop is for young adults aged 11+. You do not need to attend with them and all materials are provided. However, we advise that you provide your child with an apron to wear as clay can be messy. Please also note the cost also covers the cost of the clay, the glaze, tools and firing the kiln.
Book course Weekend hand-building workshop 03/08 - 18/08 Location: Highgate N6 All Levels
£210 This two day workshop offers hand-building techniques of pinching, coiling and soft slab-building for functional ware or any sculptural forms, along with a range of surface decoration and texture methods taught by Ayse Habibe Küçük. You are welcome to come with your own ideas. You can expect to complete 4-8 pieces, depending on their dimension and shape. The benefit of taking two day course is really being able to delve into more complex ideas and explore bigger pieces and curves, carving out more time to contemplate and build upon your shapes and expand the knowledge of using the available tools.

£75 This is a one-off session to give you the chance to try your hand on the wheel. The teacher will guide you through the basics of throwing on the wheel. You will have the chance try to make a few different shapes (cups and bowls are the most common) and you can choose one to be fired. We will glaze the work for you which you can then come and collect around two weeks later.

£565 Plan a mini London 'staycation' and get creative in our beautiful North London studio. In this course at the Turning Earth Highgate studio, students will learn everything you'd get in our 12-week course - plus some extras - in a single week. It's a great way to get going in the craft quickly without the commitment of a weekly time slot. This course is great for both beginners and students with some experience. To make things even more interesting, we have added an extra Raku firing day at the end of the course. We will fit as many pieces as possible in the kilns but this can vary according to the size of the pieces that participants make. We would expect every participant to be able to fire 2-3 pieces each (30 cm max height). Please note, this course includes two optional glazing/firing sessions. The 'regular' glaze will happen on the afternoon of Saturday 14th September, 3.30-7.30pm. The raku firing will happen on Sunday 15th September, 11-4pm.For some people who travel to attend the course and it is not possible to attend the glazing session, we will glaze your work for you at no extra cost.

Book course Clay 3D printing workshop 31/08 Location: Tottenham N22 All Levels
£120 This is a unique opportunity to learn about the basics of 3D printing and take your first 3D-printed item home.No previous experience in 3D printing or clay is required but having a minimum familiarity with the computer and software in general is necessary. Students will need to bring their laptops and have downloaded 'Tinkercad' and 'Cura' in advance About the teacher: Josef Stoger Josef is an award-winning designer who has been researching clay 3D printing techniques for over 5 years. He has exhibited his work in several exhibitions including the RA summer show and has collaborated with brands like Peugeot and Sowvital. After graduating with a distinction in Architecture from the Bartlett, UCL, he has been continuing to develop his practice and educate others, teaching courses at East Street Arts in Leeds, UCL, and at the PA Academy online.
